Ever wanted to clean with a green conscience but without the performance compromise? A new range of personal cleansing products combining a patent pending natural antibacterial action and biodegradable formulation means you can do just that.

Patently Obvious is a new range of hand washes and shower gels that is being launched in Boots.

The range is designed for people who want to use everyday products on their skin containing more natural ingredients yet don't want to compromise on cleansing performance.

Andy Hill, Managing Director of KMI, makers of Patently Obvious, said:
"When we started developing this range in 2005 we wanted to create natural, environmentally friendly cleaning products made and manufactured in the UK with no compromise on performance or design.  Nothing else on the market offered that, so we developed what has become the Patently Obvious brand."

Besides the packaging being made from 100% recycled and recyclable materials, the product itself is also biodegradeable, making it kinder for the environment.

At the heart of the product is its PureTect antibacterial formula which is made up of a blend of citrus bioflavonoid fruit acids, olive leaf extract and white willow bark extract.  Bioflavonoids are naturally occuring antioxidants and antibacterials.

Many cosmetics use SLES or SLS (sodium laureth ether sulfate, which is a detergent) and parabens (antibacterials), but Patently Obvious uses none of these.  While both groups of chemicals are safe, some research suggests that they can adversely affect those who are prone to eczema or other skin complaint.  Some highly controversial and contested research has linked parabens to breast cancer.

Patently Obvious comes in "delicious scents" including Pomegranate and Raspberry Ripple, Mint Leaf and Lime Sherbet, and comes in stunning, contemporary bottles using 100% post consumer recycled plastic.
