The Landlord Energy Efficiency Roadshow takes place on Wednesday 22 August in The Gordon Room, Worthing Town Hall, from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
Landlords will have the opportunity to learn about the negative impacts energy inefficient properties have on their tenants and the different types of energy efficiency measures (i.e. loft & cavity wall insulation, draught-proofing, heating systems) they can have installed to help tenants have access to affordable warmth.
There will be speakers talking about a variety of energy efficiency related topics, including the benefits both the landlord and tenants can expect from installing energy efficiency measures, the financial assistance available, and landlord responsibilities under the Housing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
In addition, there will be an opportunity to speak face-to-face with experts on the Home Information Packs, Environmental Health Housing related topics, the government's Warm Front initiative (which provides grants for installing energy efficiency measures), Fuel Poverty, and the Inland Revenue's Landlord Energy Saving Allowance (LESA).
Landlords will get a pack which will contain useful information and contacts for them to take away, energy efficient light bulbs to install in their rented property and discounts on energy efficient products (i.e. Radmate radiator panels).
If you would like to book your FREE place at the roadshow, or if you would like to find out more about improving the energy efficiency of your property, please contact Nicola Winser, Home Energy Efficiency Officer, on 01243 534690, or email nwinser@chichester.gov.uk.
